A Paradise and the lesson.

Priya was really excited the moment she heard Aarav say the word Nandi hills. It was on her list for a long time but never had a chance to go. “How was it? How was it?” she asked excited.
“It was really good, an awesome place the chill breeze and place somehow reminded me of you. I didn’t feel like talking I was just enjoying the breeze.” He said in his usual deep husky voice that she always loved.
‘hmmm’ she smiled and thought that he cannot see it on phone!
‘I thought that next time when she is here, I am coming with her and only her! I missed you a lot on the bike ride.’ He said on the other side.
‘We are going next time.’ She confirmed. They shared a very beautiful relationship purer than friendship passionate than love! It only grew everytime they met. Especially to a person like Priya who was always deceived and hurt by the love she had for the other person, being loved back was a strange feeling and she couldn’t handle it most of the times.

And then came the D’day, they were all set and ready to go. It was just few hours before the daybreak the bike pierced through the darkness of the streets Aarav was a very passionate rider. She felt heavenly to cuddle him. This was a feeling that she had always loved her mind went blank and her heart felt so contended the moment she cuddles him. She enjoyed the breeze and the sceneries. They tried to talk throughout the ride but the wind distorted his voice and she was irritated about the fact that they couldn’t talk. After sometime, there were huge mountains accompanying their ride. There was a very huge mountain that stood alone and distinct from the others.

“Is that Nandi hills?” Priya asked lifting her head from Aarav’s shoulder. He shrugged.

“I think it is, I remember seeing a similar one on google.” She said and leaned on his shoulder again. A few minutes later she saw another mountain and asked the same question, ‘Or probably this one is or that one?’ She shook him a little.

‘I don’t know, just wait to get there.’ He said turning a little.

Slowly, their bike started going up an inclined road when she realized that they were at the Nandi hills. Gliding between the clouds and mist Priya closed her eyes and felt the drizzle kissing her face. They parked the bike and started walking to the place where real beauty was waiting to show its face to them. If we call people intelligent, creative and extraordinarily talented what do we call God for creating this paradise?

Aarav was busy clicking the sceneries as she admired the beautiful lush green trees and the little steps that led them to the top of the mountain. From up above the hill the landscapes looked like man made architecture. Priya cannot stop but awe at the beauty of Mother Nature! The beautiful silence filled her ears and she felt calmer than ever before. The wind cluttered her hoods and she turned to see him enjoy the wind. Her hands were becoming numb because of the chill breeze.

‘I am feeling really cold.’ She said and was waiting for him to hold her hand and longing to lean on his shoulder. Things were different, different from the way it used to be. There was hesitance in abundance; there was no involvement between each other which made the place less pleasant after sometime. She returned from the hill with a heart that was heavy. A heart that feared of losing a person who meant a lot to her probably the world at the moment because of her stupidity.

Only the moment she returned home she thought while she kept waiting for him to hold her hands she failed to understand that he wanted to hold hers too, little did she realize that she could have held his herself and kissed him too if she wanted to, he surely wouldn’t have denied it. She kept thinking only about her and not him. She cared only for her feelings and not his! How much would it take for us to tell a person how much they mean to us? She understood that words speak but actions speak more! She decided to protect this beautiful relationship that would keep her happy forever. And she wouldn’t stay hesitant when she is with him! J

That beautiful paradise created by God taught her a valuable lesson.

    1. Hi Kusum! This is a fictional story :) Nevertheless its been almost 2 years since I went to Nandi hills. I went on a bike and we did switch off the engine while coming downhill every now and then just for the fun of it. I truly do not remember the roads we took coz we set out on this trip like 3 in the morning and I was too goggy to figure out anything at all!
